The year is now 2021. I stumbled across this old blog, and the time since it was set up has been both tumultuous and terrific. As I look at the world today, it feels more like something I would have written back then than reality. I find myself bouncing between horrified and fascinated.

The idea of sitting at a bar or restaurant with friends and chatting about anything seems so far away, a part of another life. Zoom can only connect us so much. The casual exchange of ideas while working between friends has been disrupted. I still talk with others, share work and ideas, but there is still something about those inspired moments late at night after a few drinks with a full stomach that is special and missing from life now. It will return, but in the meantime, maybe I do need to find more ways like this to reach out and review life as it happens...
